Looks like it's in stock again. Great price but I already own it.

Has anyone compared the video quality of the BD version vs. that of the SD version? I double-dipped and can't seem to find a significant difference between the two.

Good price for the Blu-Ray, but I'm more than happy with my DVD suitcase edition. Cine, I know what you mean, I still don't see how Blu-Ray is significantly better than DVD.

Right now, I have a garbage 27' Sony Trinitron. About the only thing going for it is a flat screen, but I am waiting to purchase the new Sony XBR6 32' when it comes out this summer, so I'll finally have me some 1080P. I know that Blu-Ray is definitely more of a benefit at bigger sizes, so it will not benefit me in the near future. However, even when I do see Blu-Ray vs. DVD on larger screens, the difference is not that gigantic of a leap to warrant repurchasing movies or even a player. If Blu-Ray stops becoming a niche product in the forseeable future, I'll upgrade, but it just seems so unecessary right now. I mean, I probably sound like an ignoramus to you, but I'm still more than happy with my DVD collection. I don't mean to knock Blu-Ray or anything, but I certainly feel like I'm not the only one.

I'm in the same boat with respect to double dipping on Blu-Ray (or HD-DVD). I just don't feel that the upgrade is worth it. My display is a Optoma HD-70 (720P) Front Projection on a 92" Widescreen. I'm using the PS3 to upconvert my regular DVDs.

For new purchases when I don't own the movie already, I'll go with the Blu-Ray (as long as its under $20). But I'm not going dump my regular DVD's, just doesn't seem worth the extra cost for the little improvement in picture quality.

Since I never owned this movie before on DVD, this was an easy decision to pick up the Blu-Ray for $20.

Don't waste your money on Blu-Ray, then. You will need a much larger screen, or need to sit four feet away (literally) for your eye to resolve a 1080i display on that 32.

I know that I was happy with a 20 inch screen until I got my first DVD player ...

That's a sweet deal, and I'm in for one. I don't have a BR player yet, but
I expect that will change before the year's out. Thanks!
